The Foster Family Gazette is a monthly electronic newspaper. Its purpose is to distribute news, photos, and other relevant information for the Foster family.

Paige Foster Achive a Purple Belt in Ke Quanda Do
Paige Jamil Foster, 6 years old, obtained his Purple Belt in a karate turnament at ATA, November 2006. Paige enjoys taking karate, and intentions are to reach a black belt.

GRADUATIONS

Tyler Newell, son of elois Cobbins, graduated from Grambling State University High School, Grambling, Louisiana, May 20, 1986. He was nomiated Class "A" champion, State and Local, Grambling, Louisana and is in Marine ROTC, moorehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia. Tyler is grandson of Heloise Foster Thomas.

Carl Eric McLaughlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Jimmie Ree McLaughlin, graduated from the New Your Police Academy, june 12, 1984. He is currently assigned to the New Your Transit Authority. Carl is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John and Lottie Jo (Foster) Perry.

Sheila Gebrae Pippins, daughter of Barbara Ann Bridges, gradusted from Glenville High School, Cleveland, Ohio, June 13, 1985. She is also a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Medical and Dental Assistants, Incs. Maarch, 1986. She is currently employed at St. Luke Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio as a Medical Secretary. Shelia is the grandaughter of Juanita Foster Hill.

Felicia Renee Perry, daughter of Billye Perry-Pope, graduated from South Windsor High School, South Windsor, conneticut, June 21, 1986. She is currently employed at Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Inc., South Windsor, Conneticut, as a clerk.

Curtis Foster, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Jr. and flora Foster, gradussted from Central Hig East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, may 29, 1986. Curtis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Foster Sr.

Geneva Foster, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Thommy and Pat Foster, gradusted from Cleveland Heights High School, Cleveland, Ohio, June 6, 1985. She is currently attending Rochester College, Rochester, New York, Geneva is the granddaughter of Heloise Foster Thomas and the late Oscar Foster Jr.

Palela Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie A. Foster, gradusted from Central High East, Tuscalossa, Alabama, May 29, 1986. Pelema is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Foster Sr.

Alberta M. Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Turner, graduated from Central High East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, May 29, 1986. She is currently attending Shelton State College, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Alberta is the granddaughter of Alberta Fostr.

Billye Joe Perry and Charles Pope were married May 21, 1984, in South Windsor, Conneticut. Billye is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lottie Joe (Foster) Perry.

Ralph Hill and Tonjula Grace were married November 30, 1985, in Bessemer, Alabama. Ralph is the son of Juanita Foster Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. Nathanial Foster celebrate their 53rd Wedding Anniversary by recciting their wedding vows. They were married May 7, 1933.

Kamilah Rene Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Sylvia Perry, was born October 31, 1985 at Brookwood Hospital, Birmangham, alabama. Oscar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Lottie Joe Foster perry.

Kendra Denise Woods, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Muray G. and Vanessa woods, was born October 22, 1985 at Broodwood Hospital, Birmangham, Alabama. Vanessa is the daughter of Mattie Foster Jones.

Aaron Frinyon frederick French, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen and Regina French, was born December 27, 1985. Glen is the son of Ora Mae Foster French and the Late Jeffery French Sr.

Julian douglas French, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey and Delores French, was forn January 1, 1986. Jeffrey is the son of Ora Mae Foster French and the late Jeffrey French Sr.

Joshyly Adair Hopson, daughter of LaTanya D. Hopson, was born December 22, 1985 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. LaTanya is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Margaret Hopson.

Congratulations are in order to Mrs.Jimmie Ree McLaughlin for 25 years of service at the United States Postal Service, Brooklin Branch, Brooklin, New Your. She began work July 1, 1961 and has since been promoted to Superintendent of Station Branch Operations. Jimmie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Lottie Jo (Foster) Perry.

Congratulations are in order to Ralph French for making a career move December, 1985 from Fayetville, Arkansas to Shreveport, Louisiana. He became Manager with IGRS Inventory Servie. Ralph is the son of Ora Mae Foster French and the late Jeffery French.

Congratulations are in order to Leanna Fostter Chiles for finishing her 10th year at Bessemer Carraway Hospital, Bessemer, Alabama, where she is a Nurse Assistant. Leanna is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Hedy Foster Sr.

Congratulations are in order to Queen Foster-Mondelus. She is a graduate of St. Bernard College (B.S.) and Alabama State University (M.Ed.) cum laude. Queen is currently residing in Miami, Florida where she is employed as a sponsor of the Afro-American Heritate Club of Miama and the MdKnight Foundation Achievers Society at Florida Memorial College. During her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, swimming, horseback riding and scuba diving. Currently she is employed by the Governors Program at Florida Memorial College. This summer her plans are to attend an Educator's Seminar in Scandanavia. She has also been nominated for the "Educational Do-Gooders" by Johnson Publishing Company. She is married to Edmond Mondelus. Her words to the family are "I feel it is important for me as a black woman to be what I am, to set an example, to be a role mode. to do good work. Hopefully in time I will be able to branch out, but for now, I am quite happy with my goody-two-shoes image." Queen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover and Annie Mae Foster.

Congratulations are in order to Avis McLaughlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. clarence and Jimmie Ree McLaughlin, for being chosen as Senior Class Vice-President at Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida. Avis is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Lottie Jo (Foster) Perry.

Congratulations are in order for Juanita Foster Hill for her service at Protective Industrial Insurance Company as a Debit Manager on the Bessemer District, Bessemer Alabama. She has been employed with the company 19 years. She won first place in Ordinary Sales, companywide the first quarter of 1986. She is the mother of Barbara Ann Bridges, Len Arthur Hill, Carol Blanch Hill, Ralph Hill, Raymond Hill and Randy Hill. Juanita is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Foster Sr.

Congratulations are in order for Thommy Foster for being promoted from Deputy with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, Cleveland Ohio to Director of Operations with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile court, March 28, 1986. Thommy is the son of Heloise Foster Thomas and the late Oscar Foster Jr.

Congratulations are in order to Dr. Sandra Foster for her accomplishments in the field of Literature. Sandra is the author of Daydreams and Other Poems; Discovery CETA; Need Assessment fo Blank and Hispanic Residents in Madison, Wisconsin; and Child Well-Being Among Informally Adopted Black Children. Sandra is also the Assistant Professor, School of Social Work, Grambling State University, Grabling, Louisiana, President of Socrates Senate and was elected Teacher of the Year, Social Work, 1985-86. Sandra is the mother of Kenyatta Ali Tate and is the daughter of Heloise Foster Thomas and the late Oscar Foster Jr.
